Meet Dr. Barry Settle
Dr. Barry Settle is an accomplished pastor, educator, author, and community leader with over 20 years of experience in ministry and higher education. He currently serves as Pastor of Ward AME Church in Los Angeles, appointed in October 2022 by Bishop Clement W. Fugh. Dr. Settle’s ministry journey began in 1998, and he was ordained an Itinerant Elder in the African Methodist Episopal (AME) Church in 2003.
Throughout his pastoral career, Dr. Settle has led congregations in California and Missouri, including Willis Chapel AME, First AME Church, and Allen Chapel AME Church. He is known for developing thriving ministries for youth, men, and marriages, and for leading retreats that have transformed the spiritual lives of many. Dr. Settle is the Founder and CEO of In The Breach (ITB), co-founder of the Best Man Ministry, and serves as the 5th District President of the Sons of Allen Men’s Ministry.
